Student & Parent Coaching
The Philosophy
The journey to successfully raising independent children does not come with a guide book. Do you ever wish that your child had an advisor that they trusted? Or perhaps, you wish you had one too?
In today’s world, parents are increasingly faced with unprecedented challenges that lead to questions such as:
How involved do I need to be in managing my child’s academics?
Is my involvement helping them in the short-term but hurting in the long-term?
How should I best interact with the school to make sure my learner’s needs are met?
How do I help my child cope with a teacher that does not understand them?
At Theobald Education, we work with parents to help them guide and nurture their child while also encouraging independence. Geoff’s firsthand experience over the last 30 years advising parents and students alike has provided him with a unique expertise. Throughout his career, he has been known for his ability to listen deeply and connect with both adults and children. Additionally, as the parent of 3 teenagers himself, he has faced the many complicated and sometimes conflicting perspectives involved in relations between parents and their children. He will pull upon this vast experience to thoughtfully guide you and your child on a path to academic and personal success.

Student Coaching
Students often need guidance and direction from a trusted resource who can offer an objective perspective. At Theobald Education, we have the unique ability to listen to what students are saying and decipher what they actually mean. We work to help students foster independence and develop agency. Students gain confidence with their decisions and see success when incorporating techniques and actions into their daily life.
We work with students to:
Understand educational priorities
Set goals with students to help them achieve their desired outcome
Foster agency in students so they become increasingly independent
Engage students in identifying how they learn and develop techniques to support their learning style
The key questions we teach our students to answer are: How do you learn? What’s the plan? How do you execute the plan?
